Course Description: In this workshop you will develop your abilities to
communicate well, resolve conflicts, heal past hurts, and develop new ways
to live creatively in a complex and challenging world. Psychodrama trainees
will learn the method and have opportunities to practice and refine their
abilities. Jacob Moreno, the founder of psychodrama, believed that a truly
therapeutic procedure must address not only the individual, but all of our
relationships and the whole of society. There will be a particular emphasis
on opening to, and being nourished by the natural world. In addition you may
discover new ways of giving back and caring for Papatuanuku (earth mother)
and Ranginui (sky father).
If you are new to psychodrama you will learn in a supportive and trusting
environment through direct experience. If you are trainee, you will have the
opportunity to practice your leadership skills and refine your understanding
and practice of the method. There will be a focus on applying the learning
in your life and work, with time for meditation in a natural environment,
reflection and writing. Five days allows a generous amount of time for
exploration, experimentation, resolution and integration.
